"A woman gives her child the 'gift' of life. She goes through immense pain for 9 months and after these 9 months of her pregnancy, she welcomes her child with extreme warmth and a heavenly smile" - I think this sums up a woman very rightly.
My grandmother and my mother have been the glorious beacon of my life. My grandmother got diagnosed with cancer, 7 years ago when she was 68 years old. I'm sure you can understand the very tough phase that she went through. All her 4 sons were with her through this immensely painful time. Understandably, we all (her sons, her daughter-in-laws and her grandchildren's) came into terms with the fact that she may not be the way she was before, her will power might not be the same. BUT, she managed to shock us all with her recovery.
Just after a few months of recovering from her illness, she started waking up at 5:00 AM, restarted doing all the household work on her own and this was immensely inspiring for each one of us. A woman who was 68 years old got diagnosed with cancer, recovered because of her will power and today at the age of 74, she still continues to inspire us with her courage, her willingness to wake up everyday and do all her work on her own. Having 4 sons, she's holding all of the joint family on her own and ONLY a woman can take care of a joint family just like the way my grandmother does, it's no easy task and I'm sure you'd know that. :)
Talking about my mother, she had a very difficult childhood. She went through various difficulties. Her father (my maternal grandfather) didn't belong to a well-off family, he lost his father at a very young age and therefore, had to start his professional life from nowhere really. He did many small jobs before he got a permanent job and at that time, people got married very young and had kids at a very young age too. My mother came in my maternal grandfather's life like an angel, after her birth, as my 'Nanu" says - everything started going right. :) A true angel, as my Nanu calls my 'Mom'. :)
Each women in our life is special. Grandmother, mother, sister or just a good friend - without 'her', life wont be the same, life wouldn't be life. On this women's day, it's absolutely fitting to dedicate this post to all the women who indeed are an 'angel' to this world.
Your strength, your courage and your will power; drives and motivates this world.
Happy women's day! :)
